Leica M2 Dummy

Produced by Leica from 1957 to 1967, the M2 Dummy was a non-functional replica based on the design of the real Leica M2 rangefinder camera. Its primary purpose was for display, educational demonstrations, or possibly as a showroom prop, allowing handlers and students to familiarize themselves with the camera's external form, controls, and layout without the operational mechanics or expense of a working model. Constructed as a solid, inert object, it accurately mirrored the M2's physical appearance, including its iconic body shape, top plate controls, and lens mount.
